Has anyone here had a bad experience with 4-Play Marine & Rv in Austin, Tx.(J.P.Price) He brokered my boat for me, sold it, got $51,000.00 down and pocketed the money and left me hanging for over $1000.00 a month in payments and insurance for 15 years. The boat is out of state and the buyer refuses to give me my boat back even though the boat is registered and titled in my name. I got a judgement against him, but can't collect. What can I do to get out from under this? That's the reason I had him broker it in the first place. Someone, PLEASE HELP ME. Tom Richter (go to my web page to view the judgemnet)

Go get your boat. You have legal title to it. Might want to locate the boat. Contact the local authorities of your intentions, ask for a sherriff's escort to accompany you to retrieve your property.

Best bet is probably to contact a lawyer in the state where the boat is. Forget the judgement, go get your boat.

Another route to take would be to report the boat stolen to your insurance carrier. Tell them where it is if you know.

Sounds like good advice from Roscoe. Good luck, sorry about your situation, and welcome to iBoats. Good bunch of people on this board, so I doubt any of us have your vessel, but I am sure many will help if at all possible. That's just the type of people on this board.

Do you have said title in hand or just taking it that the title is in your name.
If you brokered the boat and signed any papers giving broker authority to transfer paperwork, you might be up that well known creek.

Now, if you have title in hand and it's still in your name, go get it.
Whoever bought said boat had to get some kind of paperwork from the broker.
I know I would have paying that kind of money for a boat.
As allways, just my .02 worth.
Good luck and keep us posted.

P.S. Where is boat? ;)

Might there be a finders fee?

Time for the REPO man!

Do it quietly, or you will likely be finding your boat sitting on the bottom.

the holder of the note that you are paying on has a interest in secureing the asset, seek thier assistance, they have the system in place to repo cars/boats and houses, and will pull it off safely and legally.
also file a criminal complaint for fraud against the broker.
