My buddy called me the other day and said he was heading out fishing the next morning at 6am, and to meet him at the ramp if I wanted to go. I had the day off and am not one to turn down a fishing invite. We motored around for about an hour trying to find the perch and finally landed on the Mother-Lode. We were snapping up nice ones at about 60ft, and since we figured they were goners after hauling them up that far he kept most of them for a fish fry for his family. We were about to pack it in at 10am when I got this nice tug on the line and landed a whopper. Biggest one I've ever seen/caught. I've been trying to move up from the smaller panfish/etc but if this is what the lake's providing I'm staying in it. I didn't measure it but it was at least a foot long and decently heavy. Either way I thought I'd share for the perch-lovers. For size reference I'm about 5'10" and 285#, and I'm holding that about a foot away from me.
