Hey people a couple years ago I started collecting small zip lock bags to hold sinkers, swivels, hooks, etc in. They take up very little space and when you open your tackle box if its raining (or salt spray) whats inside stays clean and dry.
The trouble is finding them for sale.

Fishing from kayaks this year convinced me that I need to put different lures inside plastic bags before dropping into fishing vest!

Three weeks ago another guy who has been looking for them also sent me a email to meet him for coffee that night, he had found a place to buy them in Tacoma.

He had bought 200 2"W X 3"H for like $16.00
And we were both happy.

Later before meeting him for coffee I found this web site.

1000 2"W X 3"H for $5.74 :D
Both his and these are two mils thick but you can also order 4 mils thick from this site.

Note: When you click on this site do a fast search
and type zipper lock bags then click on STANDARD CLEAR ZIPPER BAGS

The first three items should be
Item # 1510212 1 1/2 X 2 per 1000 $3.12
Item # 1510222 2 X 2 per 1000 $4.24
Item # 1510223 2 X 3 per 1000 $5.74

5 of us went together and ordered about $50.00 of zip lock bags.

Yes I know I live under a Rock and most of you most likely know about this.. but for other Rock dwellers this is cool!
Had to a edit to include web site... Blonde roots here :)
http://www.papermart.com/

I work in a warehouse, and ship out nuts/bolts etc...

I order boxes of 1,000 small ziplocks, works great. I'd order them for home, but I really doubt they are food grade.

Any good packing company will be able to get them for you.

Those are fair prices from that papermart.com

LOL
Was thinking the same thing which is why I put it in the topic.
With 5 of us ordering we are still going to have about 200 of each size.
Hmmm don't want all them zip lock bags just sitting around.. guess I should get online and order more tackle! :D :D

ndemge
For home use I agree that the prices are pretty good. I will have no problem filling them with nuts and bolts etc.. and a little more tackle ;)

With 10 month old in the house, we go through a lot of baby foods. Now they come in these neat little plastic single serving tubs with snap on lids. Kind of like mini Tupperware. Have been saving them because they are great for nuts, bolts ect, are made of plastic, easy open, stackable and see-through. A lot nicer than the old glass baby food jar. Might be nice for organizing tackle boxes too.
