I brought this up before because the tach needle would peg when the ignition was turned to the on position.

Per a suggestion on the board I ran a new wire from the coil to the back of the tach to read the spark pulse. Now with the key in the on position the needle stays at zero. The tach still does not register rpm.

It did not register when the needle would peg as well. Is it possible that I may have kicked it to the curb, requiring replacement?

I look forward to your input.
