dead short. 77 Invader ford 302

77 invader with a 302 ford v8. starts great and runs great. If I turn it off after running for a while I get nothing when I try to restart, let sit for 30 mins or so and were off again, can't find any "bare wires" or anything obvious as of yet. Charging gauge shows good while running. Any ideals? thanks

that rules out any shorts, start hunting for opens in the battery and starting circuits.
shorts are easy to find,ya follow the smoke trail.

Just for clarafication, how do you define "opens" in the curcuits.

That is not a Mercury Outboard, Razzor.
