Dead hole

I have a 150 mariner outboard s/n 667750 #1 cylinder has no spark, I replaced the switch box and spark plug. I switch coils around and checked the wires from switch box to coil all looks good. Could my stator be failing?

It could be that the trigger wires have rubbed the flywheel and are causing the trouble. If the rest of the plugs fire , then it is doubtful that the stator is bad. CDI website has the way to test the electronics for you motor if you need them. JMO
