Is this okay / good to use to clear out carbon in a 2001 200hp FICHT engine?? http://www.amazon.com/Johnson-Evinr..._sim_sg_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=00A683SN8ZDYCVSCEBX2
After you decarb the engine, it's best to run the Bombardier XD50 oil in the tank. That oil comes with a carbon-guard additive that continues the cleaning process as the engine runs.
Comes down to cost. You can run the XD100 in your Ficht, but it is specifically designed by the factory for the new Etec engines. Etec computers can be adjusted to run this oil at 100:1 ratios with no problem. It's really expensive, but when run at 100:1, it's about the same cost as running the XD50. Running the XD100 expensive oil in a Ficht will only run at 50:1 ratio. At that ratio/consumption rate, it's really an expensive oil...The XD50 should work just fine in an Ficht.
If I remember right you can program the Ficht to run the XD100 oil. The trick was don't have it programed for the XD100 and then put in XD50.
