I will be taking my 22' Palm Beach cuddy cabin around Manhattan Island tomorrow, July 7, 2010. I plan to reach the Statue of Liberty around 10:00am and proceed from there. I have studied the charts and gone over my check lists time and time again. I am trying to figure out which direction to go, either up the East River and back down the Hudson, or go the opposite direction. I am a bit confused with the tide direction for tomorrow. I believe it will be slack tide at 1:00pm at Hellgate, but I'm not sure which direction the tide will be flowing. I would appreciate any advise concerning this, as I don't want to fight the current all day. Thanks, Mike
