He has only posted 6 replys and everyone of them has to do with this stupid fish gameboy finder which doesn't even exist yet. I like this forum because it is true real people expressing their ideas or hands on knowledge with specific issues not some salesman trying to make a buck. And if you are not spam you are doing the company harm in posting nothing but adds for a product that any Tom, **** or Harry would see as a piece of junk.

Hey! Troll- You are right on the money. If some of the guys really need help,I am here to help, when I can. If I don't know the answer with my expertice, I will not respond. All any one should do is respond from their experience,(Not Guess), nor push a product because they own one or even worse, have a tie with the product. You don't see anyoner saying "I own a ***, it sucks!, But I would buy another" Have a GREAT 2002.

If the collective opinion of this sea-going "community" is that this individuals posts are not consistnet with the spirit of the board(s), perhaps numerous posts / requests to do something would be enough to inspire the moderator fix this problem and maintain the integrity of the board.

Let this post serve as my request that the moderator do whatever they believe is appropriate so that we will not be plagued by these inane posts any longer.

Giddyup!

Kramer

Unfortunately the guy's got no shame as his answer to one post denying it was spam shows. He even revived two old threads from last summer to get the good word on his glorified TV remote out.

Thanks gentlemen for your opinion,
Well instead of you encourage someone new to the board you post all of this kick to my head, probably my posting sounds strange to you, but look at all other posting, some sounds realy strange too.

All I have done is pass some row information I found related to this board, also whither this product is good or not I've just done what I thought could be handy,

Anyway thanks for your understanding, but please no need to treat a new member this way, this Forum about exchanging ideas, as we all set around one table, sure not very nice that if I have an opinion that everyone stand and kick me to the head.

I hope that no bad feelings and I'll keep silent reading your posting without any complain.

Many thanks and have a great day and lucky fishing

David

Re: David W is Spam!

One thing I think we all should remember is that people from all walks of life have access to a computer and the internet whether through the public library, school, friends, work or their own. Everyone is here and they are getting around.

That’s everyone including, phonies, real honest people, the unwashed and the washed. And all have different levels of experience.

With I-Boards you are dealing people on many levels. You may be a wiz on computers or internet but be new to the topic. Or a wiz on the topic and can't type or spell or just new to computers and the internet. And this goes on and on with many combinations or levels.

You also have the factor of people interacting with people; you could be great at it or a dud. And patience with people is very important too.

And there is the topic, you may know a lot or a little but you want to help so you throw in your 2 cents.

I think there are some very knowledgeable people here but the advice I get here would not be my last stop in research. I would never base my final decision from advise from any I-Board. It's just a piece of the pie.

This is a great resource but it should not be your only stop. Check out the manufacturer and news articles, other web sites to cross reference and personal friends. See the item in action at a show. And your gut level feeling based on whatever experience you have.

I really like this site and would hate to see it filled with spam and I would do anything I could to keep that from happening.

We should all remember every post is just 2 cents, one of eight slices of that great old American Apple Pie, but just one.

Hello David W.
I don't think the people here were trying to kick you in the head. I'd imagine they were trying to 'get a rise' out of you (to use a an old fishing quote), and they succeeded. It led you to give a little more info as to your true intent on this board.
I'll bet if you were to start your own topic (see links at bottom of page) on something you have done, they'd all jump right into it.
There are sections for 'nothing to do with boating' so surely you can come up with something, maybe even a 'stupid human trick' like everyone else has entered ;)
If you don't understand how this site generally works, don't worry, I did same thing- put a comment in a 6month old topic, which pulled it to the top of the listings all over again. I've worked on computer systems for 10yrs now, but last(and only)time I'd been in a forum was in 1995. And I don't spend much time online other than for my job.
I guess you can see that your postings have been typical for a spammer, so fire away with some other topic - the funnier the better :D
