Hi!
I just bought a 1999 Chaparral 1830 boat and the boat is pretty clean. However, it is not the limited edition, therefore it doesn't have wood grain dash panels. I think it would make the boat much classier if it had wood grain. Does anyone know what is involved in changing the panels in this boat? Also, I couldn't find dash panels anywhere. Does anyone know of a place who has them for this boat. Thanks

Your only chance of finding new parts for a 17 year old boat is places like eBay. A few vendors such as great lakes skipper and marine surplus have new old stock parts for various manufacturers. Craigslist and eBay for used. Or make your own.

+1 ^^^^. It is not like any of the wood grain panels were sold in the after market, most likely only special order replacement parts from the factory.

Finding a place that does hydro dipping would yield the best results.

Augoose mentioned the 3M wraps and I love their products for just about anything, weather that be dashes, computer parts, boat hulls (which I have seen never done but would love to) or cars. I think this is a great solution for you because I doubt you will find the parts you want online.

Thanks for all the answers! I did end up getting a roll of 3m vinyl wrap. I think it will look good once it is done and on the boat. I did look and there was nothing on eBay so this was definitely my best bet.:joyous:
