Dash access on 2001 Regal 2960?

Hi, I just purchased a 2001 Regal 2960. Love the boat, it's in great shape...but I am thinking about replacing the stereo and I need to access the dash to install a remote at the helm...but I haven't figured out to to get to the underside of the dash from inside the cabin. Do I take of the liner in the mid-cabin? (and if so, how do I start that?)
