A little back story;
In the last year I moved from a densly populated area to a midsized town will ample water recreation access. My family and I are outdoors people and enjoyed the boating experience. So, we decided to try the boating. We looked around and found a boat with a blown engine, it was a good way to save a little money on the boat and also learn a great deal about the setup in the process. This was last September.
Fast forward to yesterday, we pulled the old, transferred everything to the new engine and dropped it in with relative ease. Honestly very little was unexpected other than a new manifold purchase (cracked). All in and hooked up, engine primed, and it wont start. Not only will it not start but we are not getting power to the coil. Beating our heads against a poles for a while my wife looks over and asks, "There's a run/off switch over here. Is it supposed to be in the "run" position?"...
It now starts and runs great...:facepalm:
