Looking at a boat with 2.0 seadrive. The drive shaft had frozen into the head & the dealer cut the shaft through the joint where the lower unit bolts up to the rest of the motor. After a new power head, shaft ect. they put it all back together. now there is a gap in the area where they cut through to free the lower unit. When the muffs are on, the water pours out of this joint. Is there any easy fix to this or would I need to replace the housings to get two surfaces that mate up tightly? Is the gap adversely affecting the cooling water getting to the engine? Thanks!!

You should have the dealer fix this. They can go to a hardware store and buy a plug that can thread in and seal off this hole.
