Late April /early May is great time to fish Dale.Smallies will be on flats/banks chasing shad.Jerk baits/spinner baits/shad imitation crank baits are go to baits.Best bait are shad or alewives caught out of lake. Largemouth will be in weed beds and around wood,spots along banks in wood or rock structure.Crappie in willows -will take some looking for them.Catfish on cut bait . Dale is a clear lake with lots of different structure to work.I prefer to fish spinning on lite line 6-10 lb.
