Cylinder Head differences on 92 Johnson 200 GT

Lost piston #3 and had to replace the piston and cylinder head due to damage. I purchased an OEM replacement and the indentation(actual cylinder head)on the new OEM part is 2.5in dia. and 7/8in deep and the original(bad one) is 3.5in dia. and 3/4in deep.<br /><br />Any ideas why they are different?

Jeff,<br />I only find one part nr. for the starboard head for that engine and it's 0397860. Any idea what the part nr for the replacement head you have is?<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty

Sounds like you may have gotten a head for a 1993 200.<br /><br />Whats the casting numbers?
