Cylinder head anode??? Do I need one??

Been on Sim Yamaha site getting a water pump kit.Saw several cylinder head anodes.News to me??? do I need one or should I be replacing one that I didn't know
I had?? Year 2000 200hp Saltwater Series 2 stroke.SX200 .I have the transom bracket anode and the keg/fin anode and that's all that I know of on the motor.Charlie

are you in salt water? if so, yes you need it

Parts list for your motor says 8 are required, two of which are used on the voltage regulator assembly.

after 23 years you may not be able to get it out and maybe even break off pieces that can loge into passages restricting water flow
