cva .50 hawken

Well went bird hunting last week and brought along the .50 cal hawken for funtime.First up to 50 yards or so its deadly to zombie targets,lol.Now something I learned the hard way,no matter how many caps you use the rifle will not propel the ball out of barrel if you neglect to put powder in first

Ya that would of been embarrassing.Live and learn,thank god I had the extractor kit with me or we would of been overrun by zombies,lol.Next to a .22 its a cheap and fun form of entrainment.

WOW 82rude, that is interesting. Today I was sorting through some five gallon buckets in my shop while waiting for some spot putty to cure on the boat, and I came across tow bags full of 50 and 58 caliber REAL bullets. REAL bullets are called that because they are Rifling Engaged At Loading. I do remember shooting my different black powder rifles. The 58 cal kicks beyond belief. But only if you put powder in first.... :pound:

LOL.Next I will probably:D load it so when I shoot it the ball will roll out the end just like on the cartoons.

Lol good stuff... Today I was rummaging around the garage and came across an old muzzleloader a friend gave me last summer to see if I could get sighted in for him...I think he forgot about it... soooooo, anybody in the market for a good used muzzleloader? Lol

I load 115gr "F" and a hand cast 535gr Lyman Postell in my 45-120 Pedersoli Sharps!
