This is my first boat i've owned. I've got a 2000 5.0 GL Volvo SX outdrive "Four Winns Horizon". My question is about adjusting the cutout switch. I have a Seloc Book but all it mentions is under hard shifting TROUBLESHOOTING, that the linkage may need adjusting, or the cut out switch. I did remove the outdrive for winter so i know the linkage must need to be adj. a little, because its harder to get into gear than it was before. But this thing sure clunks into gear in forward and reverse. Worse in reverse! It's always been like this, since I got it last year? Could this cutout switch be mis- adjusted causing it not to be doing what it's supposed too? I don't have stalling issues, however it's hard starting cold? FYI, No metal shavings found anywhere during servicing. There was no mention of the location of the switch, or adjusting it in the Seloc book. Do you have any suggestions? You'll sure help me out if you have some thought on this. Thanks in advance! JP
