Anyone have experience with either the Eagle Cuda 168 or Humminbird Piranhamax 215 fishfinders? I'm looking to get in at the bottom end for my first fishfinder and these two are as close to the bottom as I could find, both under $80. These two seem to have similar features, and I couldn't find a head-to-head in the forum.

It will be used on my 20' center console, mostly in the Gulf in depths of 25' or less. I'm planning on using it mainly to see depth and structure, not so interested (yet) in using to try to find fish.

Thanks.

The CUDA is ok and easy to use.
A little hard to see in bright sunlight, but most of them are, until you spend substantially more money.
No experience with the Humminbird.

I have a Cuda 168 portable and it works great in my experience + it's made by Lowrance

Thanks, guys for the input - it says a lot about the Cuda. To be honest, I was a little wary of it because Walmart carries it, but I'm glad its a quality unit. Anyone with Piranhamax experience, before I pull the trigger?
