Crusader 7.4 PFI (1999) MAT reads -40 degrees on tech-mate

Hello,

i have twins in my Silverton sedan. Owned it 1 year now. On both engines, I read MAT -40 degrees on my tech mate scan tool as i scroll through the functions. I have no codes and they run fine. I’m just wondering it this is normal or if i have a problem with both engines? Perhaps these engines do not use this?

In most cases this kind of reading means your motors do not have the MAT (manifold air temperature) sensor. All should be normal
