We where staying with out daughter and son-in-law last night on the Rhodes River (about 7 miles south of Annapolis) west shore of the Chesapeake. The tropical storm was active all day as we watched the bay rise....we spend the day moving boats, checking lines and scanning the cable weather service....at the peak of the storm the water was one inch below our door! Anyway...the dumpster.....around 10:30 last night my son looked out the side door and let out a shout! The compound's dumpster was bounching against the cottage next door! Here's the rub....the dumpster is staged on the far, other side of the compound, behind a canoe rack, with two low piers, a hobie, four small punts, beach in between....the dumpster floated free, missed all those obstacles to reach the cottage....So last night we wrestled this thing as far back as we could to it's normal mooring....my wife suggested we start a new sport "Extreme Dumpster Sailing." She might be on to something....something fun is always happening on the water.
