Normally our boat runs around the 180 degree mark. However, this past weekend, when we went on a long cruise the temp spiked to around 190-200 degrees. I did not have an warning alarm and the temp did not move past that. Currently the water temp is around 86-88 degrees at the lake. I am wondering if the warm water temperature is effecting the high engine temp or if I have a impeller issue. This is the 4th summer with the same impeller so it is getting about that time. Of course I didn't think about checking with an inferred thermometer until after we left the lake... I am leaning towards changing the impeller this week, but wanted some expert opinions.
