End of last season my tach would go from reading properly to as high as 7500 rpm without the engine rpm increasing. It would sometimes come back down and other times it would vary between 6000-7500. I opened up the main harness connector for a look and re-seated every connector under the hood and at the tach.
I suspect I am having an electrical issue and wonder if someone knows where to start checking/looking. Is there a particular ground somewhere that might effect the tach?
