I'm trying to figure out how to build a better crawdad trap than the one I've got, and amazingly enough, this is not something I could find by just entering it into google. So I thought I'd ask here..

I have one of those cylinder traps with the inverted cone entrances at each end, but the buggers just crawl right back out again. So I put little swinging "fingers" over the entrance holes like a crab trap has, but then if the trap rolls over when it hits the bottom, the fingers just fall open and the crawdads still come and go as they please.

There must be a better way!
