Mercury 2008 efi 100hp four stroke,

after a day out fishing my outboard wouldnt start, i removed plug and turned engine over, No Spark, tried again and started on 3 cylinders, replaced spark plug and wouldnt start again, after several attempts it started and ran smoothly, it seems erratic, spark then no spark, i tested all battery leads and all seems fine, i think it may be the crank sensor as when i tested the volts it was showing 0.2v then tried again it showed 2.8v also tested the ohms which looked to be high at 8000 to 10000 ohms

Can somebody advise the specification on a crank sensor? what the ohms and voltage should be.

cheers
