I have a question I have a crank handle boat trailer and I've lowered the trailer to low and it is off the gears and won't crank up.
How do I fix it? I'm hoping there's some real easy way so I don't have to take it to the shop.
Thanks ahead for all the suggestions and help.

I've done some searching sounds to me like I got to buy a new one hey.

get a couple of jacks and see if you can pick it up enough to get the gears to line up. you are talking about a poontoon sissor trailer.

Jack the front of the trailer with another jack to take the weight off, hammer down on the jack base while cranking. Maybe you'll get lucky. But trailer jacks are pretty disposable, so you'll probably just end up having to replace it. For what it's worth, I've never seen a jack that could be lowered too low, though I've seen some raised too high in the past...maybe something else was wrong or it's simply time for an upgrade from a very old jack. Or you have something I'm not familiar with...

Thanks for the help you know I've never seen a boat jack that is a gear and post type crank down so low it wouldn't work either. You know I'm the kind of guy that is always rasing it to high and I think I could fix that. I've got a couple of other jacks I can use to work with. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll try them all this weekend and let you know. I'd like to get through the this season with it. But maybe not.

Just so it's posted. I got this jack same old one to work again. I just raised up in running place not on the ground and kind of play with the wheel stand part of the jack and set the gears back together and it works fine.
Keep in mind that the problem was the jack had slipped of the gears. Just play with it for a little while and it may
work.
