Just found a freeze crack on bottom of exhaust manifold...seems to be minor....motor does over heat or such just small leak.....was thinking of either drilling each end and tapping for set screw to stop crack from increasing and sealing with JB Weld...will this work.....if not what of disassy and welding ....it is cast iron? have some experience in this with heavy indrustrial......will it work here?

A GOOD WELDER CAN WELD IT,THOUGH EVEN THEN IT CAN SPREAD SOMETIMES WHEN THEY TRY TO WELD IT. BUT IF IT IS A SMALL LEAK AND YOUR MOTOR IS OVER HEATING THEN YOU HAVE MORE PROBLEMS THEN A CRACKED MANIFOLD.CHANCES ARE PRETTY GOOD IF THE MANIFOLD FROZE AND BUSTED SOMETHING ELSE DID .YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK INTO THE COOLING PROBLEM BEFORE YOU SPEND TIME AND MONEY ON THE MANIFOLD.

IT WON'T HURT TO TRY IT IF IT IS THAT SMALL OF A LEAK ,BUT I WOULD KEEP AM EYE ON IT .JUST TO BE SAFE. YOU CAN ALWAYS EITHER WELD OR REPLACE IT AFTER A WEEK END OF FUN.
