Cracked intake manifold

I’m just wondering I have a cracked intake, should I replace intake and then flush the oil multiple times or rebuild?

Which Engine? Where is it Cracked? Why did it Crack?

Intakes usually only crack when the engine freezes, how’s the rest of the engine?

4.3 merc block and manifolds look good, non of the frost plugs moved for some reason it just froze the intake

How's the Oil, and its Level?
Core Plugs didn't pop on this one either

I would pressure test the cooling system if you can make block off plates for the water cross over in intake. See if heads and block are not leaking before buying a new intake.

Assumption would be that it wasnt properly winterized

Is this a ‘96 and up Vortec?
I recall reading that these had a drain plug in the front of the intake that has to be pulled to avoid freeze damage. Not present on the older pre Vortec engines…
