I am considering purchasing a boat with Volvo Penta SX engine however the block is cracked on both sides. I test drove the boat and the seller was right the boat runs well and the cracks swet under high speed only. There is no water in the oil pan and the engine oil is not milky. Should I be looking elsewhere for problems? He had the block welded and then epoxied however the epoxy appears not be holding.
