1993 omc 150hp crossflow. I seem to have a crack between cylinders, from the water jacket to the liner. I noticed it after pressure washing the unit. i'm trying to save this motor, cant afford a new one. are liners ever pressed out, cylinders repaired, liners reinstalled - cost effective? forgedaboutit? feedback appreciated. thanks

Re: cracked block

Need to post your model # as they did not make a crossflow in 1993. If it is a older crossflow, tons of blocks out on the market for sale. If looper getting a little harder as good blocks harder to find, plenty of repairable blocks though.

Re: cracked block

I crossed the numbers last night and it's apparently a 1990 model , #j150TXESB. I'll be running it by the machine shop for a verdict on a repair. I would like to know where to look for a used block and possibly a crankshaft.thanks for your input "faztbullet" - info is the key!
