One of the core plug's is a idle passage cover, and the under side of the carb body, you should need two, Cork washers go around the low speed needle valve, along with the nylon washer, you should have used those. Carb to intake gasket is correct. You are now left with no spare parts, but for one core plug.

really? wow cause the diagram in book doesn't show the other washers at all, it's the carb for 4hp Deluxe and 5hp, 6hp and 8hp (prior to 1986) mine's a 1985 model.

the low speed needle valve in diagram doesn't show any washers or gaskets, only the retainer, which I put on it

I didn't use core plugs I'm a little nervous about screwing something up removing old ones or putting new ones in, I guess I'm too faithful in that the previous ones or good and sealed. Fill me in if there's something more I need to know please.

If your carb calls for the red retainer, you dont need the fiber, and nylon washers. You can get by without replacing the core plugs, just make sure the passages are clean, and blown out.
