Counter-rotating prop...

I found a great deal on a brand-new 2010 150 h.p. Merc to replace the old 90 horse on my 19' Chris Craft. Only thing is, it's got a counter-rotating prop. I have heard that the the reason most American boats have a right side console is to counteract the torque generated by a conventional-rotating prop. Is this a concern, or am I simply splitting hairs here? Thanks.

Thanks, I was afraid it might be like having a Cadillac or Chevy in for identical repairs, but the Caddy repair would cost about double the Chevy's...

Ayuh,... You'll run into that scenario when you go to reprop it...

Lefthanded props are Less common, so usually more expensive...
