am curious about the kill switch on a 1969 sea ray sv70 with a 115 merc 6 cyl. it won't start unless i disconnect a wire from the harness for a few minutes then once i reconnect it i can start the motor no problem even if i shut it off but if i let it sit overnite i have to disconnect the a wire once more. Could it be my yellow with black stripe wire i undersyand this is my kill switch is it possible it may be grounding out ? also if i disconnect it and it starts continually i would believe i found the coulpret but if i gruond the wire while the motor is runnig i afraid i will short something out as several people have told me merc. engines are very sensitive to spark issues as it will burn out something (stator, cdi box, coil etc ) any thoughts ? thanks
