corrosion in heads

I am in the process of cleaning out the water passages on my '84 Johnson 140. I have manually scraped the salt and corrosion from them. What would be appropriate to flush the remainder of the deposits out? Hot water?<br />some secret solution? all help appreciated.

Hi Griffith,<br /><br />This won't help much but at the Miami boat show earlier this year I saw a booth that had the anti-corrosion rinse you are looking for. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the stuff (maybe SaltAway) but at least there is a rinse out there, somewhere.<br /><br />I searched on www.altavista.com using the key words marine anti corrosion and there are quite a few sites that came up that might help.<br /><br />Good luck on the search and post if you end up finding anything.
