I recently purchased my boat, it had a 305 vortec stock. It has a 350 vortec now. What size Throtle body is best for this motor and how do I check the size of the one I have?

I've been told by a few reman. a few differnet things. 1. the ecm needed to be reflashed or new, 2. nothing need to be done and 3. it would run fine but to get top performance it would need to have a bigger throtle body. For topend performance.

You should have a 454 tb on there..but you need to post the yr of both engine's and type merc or volvo. Yes you need to have your ecm reflashed. That marine tbi is setup a bit different than automotive most auto guys will be lost.

What do you have on the 350 now? Carb?

You can't just take a carb off, put a throttle body on and all is set to run. You need all the sensors, ignition, fuel pumps, ECM. wiring harness and all that goes with it.
