Correct Spark Plug Wires for 5.7L

I have been collecting parts to do a complete tune up of what I believe to be 1988 5.7L serial # 0C386372 which is connected to a Bravo 2 drive, I have everything but the plug wires. On all the web sites there are 2 part #s listed for plug wires 816761Q4 and 816761Q17 how do I know which version to get. They cost about the same. My local Merc dealer told me to call Merc and ask them as the wrong set could damage other ignition components. Hoping to be on the water in a couple of weeks. Have a great day

The Q4 set is for engines with the ignition module mounted on the exhaust elbow.
The Q17 set is for engine with the ign. module mounted on the distributor.
