Correct routing for tilt/trim hydraulic lines??

Recent purchase
The two line that go from the tilt/trim to the port behind the transom plate were leaking.
Pulled engine as I needed to installed new long block anyway.
Both lines appear to have been rubbed and pinched by the coupler.
Replaced both lines and ran them the same as the old ones--which appears to be the only option. The lines basically set between the exhaust"Y" outlet and the coupler.
Put new engine in and it appears the coupler will rub on them.

Would someone know the correct routing , or better yet a photo?

For clarifications--the pump is located on the inside of the port stern wall in the back- 25 views and no one has replace them??

Thanks a lot! Have the same pump. So when you put the transom plate on do the hoses go out the same opening as the water tube or do they come out the top of the opening for the shaft housing?

Took photo of mine to post but could not figure out how to reduce it so I could post. Will look to see how.

Excuse my artwork. They go between the transom and transom plate. There is a recess cast into the plate.
You dont have to remove the lines to install the plate, since they go under it.
The pic is the backside(the side that goes against the transom)

Your art work is very clear to me. In fact, when I saw it,thought I had the answer--however went out to shop to check and my transom plate does not have the recess for the hoses--it fits flat to the transom all the way around. I'll get my photos reduced and try and post. Has to be a year thing I guess. Thanks so much for your time and efforts.

This is how I have mine. BTW the other owner had someone pull the engine and rebuild. When I bought it the lines were in same place as in this photo and were hitting the coupler. One was crushed and the other leaking.
