In bringing my 1960 Johnson Seahorse 10 HP (Model QD-21) back to life, the rewind spring on the pull starter snapped. I have half-installed the new one, but I figured while I had the pull starter apart, I might as well replace the pull-starter rope. I know the expected length of the rope is 72", but I don't know the diameter of rope to use. Does anyone have this spec handy? Also, I know this is nylon rope, but is there anything specific to look for? Or can it just be a length of the nylon rope you can buy from Hardware or sporting goods stores?
Thanks
Eric
