Hello Looing for correct plugs for my 1984 235 Crossflow.

Currently using Champion UL77V. Champion web site recommends the QL16V Plug. What do you think?

Current plugs are wet and have unburned oil on them every time I pull them.

Jetting is correct for my altitude, and compression is fine. I am suspecting the plugs I am using are too cold.

Thanks for the help

SRP71

Affordable plugs are the UL77V, the QL16's are too expensive for most of us to use (with marginal benefits)!

Thanks for the advice. you just saved me over 30.00

I was afraid that the cost wouldn't overcome the benefits.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Srp71

The plugs are only a good indicator if you are running WOT for a few minutes and just shut the key off while "at" wide open throt. When ya stop, pull plugs one at a time and look. you can't get a good idea of whats going on by checking plugs after you've idled down.

I wish I read this post first. Just bought a set of QL16v for my 83 150 crossflow I thought the plugs were superceded, plus my parts dealer would only sell me a set of 4 so I bought 8 plugs The only saving grace is that I get parts at cost so plugs were only!! 5.00 ea

You can also use the (Q)L77JC4's.
