correct oil mixture?

Hi,
Does anyone know what the correct gas/oil mixture for a 100 hp Johnson 1971. The model # is 100ESL71C.
My friend told me he mixes all his outboards 50:1 no matter the engine. But I don't want to ruin my nice USED OLD engine...

Yours will be 50:1

Not ALL motors will be happy with 50:1...

Yeah, I know there are many different mixtures for different motors. Just wanted to make sure I was mixing it correctly...
