Correct oil filter and some knowledge from my engine MCM 190?

Hi,

I have oil filter problem with my 3,7L MCM190 (1987?) engine. Oil pressure is too high and filter is leaking from gasket. Our local dealer says that QuickSilver 866340Q03 oil filter is correct one, but there is a remote oil filter kit 93386 in my engine, and i have strong feeling that adviced filter is not the correct one for my engine. Can you please give me some advice in my problem and probably some more information (or web link) from my engine . Thank you in advance.

Did you confirm the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge
pressure reliefe valve in the oil pump if the mech gauge confirms high oil pressure

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... The oil filter for that motor, 'n for the remote mount is the same exact filter used on small block Chevys since the early '60s,....
