I am fairly new to outboard motors, but something just doesnt seem right. I pulled what i would think to be the thermostat housing off of the head (the top of the head w/ 4 screws holding a rectangular cover) and there was nothing in there but a peice of cork that looked like a seal of some kind and nothing else, now is that where the thermostat should be?
