I'm trying to find the correct kits for rebuilding my carbs and my water pump. So far I have found the kit for the waterpump here at iboats, but couldn't find the right kit for my carbs. The motor is a 1986 Mercury 75 hp 4 cylinder, serial #: a198778. I would like to rebuild these over the winter. I have the Clymer manual which doesn't seem to have much info on this particular model. Does the Seloc manual have any better or easier to understand info?

Thank you,

TripleC

Re: correct kits

TripleC I have a 1985 75 hp 4cyl.I also had trouble finding carb kits. This site may help "www.maxrules.com". My problem was I could not find complete kits either, the kits are discontinued. I bought the jets, needle, seat, and gaskets seperately. You have model "C" carbs.I think your carbs are WM15 and WM17. The Seloc manual explains all three types easily.

Thanks for the response. DHP, do you use the valve seat kit and gasket set instead of the carb kit or in addition to the carb kit?
