Guys, my gas gauges are wired but not connected to the battery. My boat is a 73 Glassmaster Tarpon, 165 Mercruiser with twin 12 gal tanks in the seat boxes. Both have gauges mounted on the tanks with two wires each coming off the tanks.

How do I wire them to the battery without blowing myself off the boat.;)

[colour=blue]The sender wire is the one in the centre of the insulator, the other wire is the ground.

Ayuh,...... And None of it is Wired to the Battery.........

There should be a Ground wire attached to the Rim of the sender,....
That 1 is routed back to the Engine Block for Ground.....

There's the 1 in the center of the Sending Unit, that Dunaruna mentions,...
That 1 goes to the "Sender" stud on the Gauge,......

The Gauge is wired to the Battery from the (+) stud, or "Ign" stud on the gauge..........

And,.....
There Should be a Bonding Wire attached to the Tank, Somewhere, that Bonds the Tank to the Ground Plane of the Boat,......
In other words,.... Run this wire to the Engine Block as well...........
