I purchased a used Merc with a commander 2000 remote control box.
The shift cable and throttle cables were both fitted to the top arms of the control box.
I checked the Seloc manual and it shows pics of the control cables with one on the top arm and one on the lower arm.

Then to confuse me even more I see pictures of control boxes with both cables attached what appears to be via the lower arms, with the power cables exiting through the top.

Now I'm really confused.

Which is the correct setup and any pics available please.

Don't know which engine you have, but all newer mercurys above 25hp pull for fwd gear and push for idle

The control box that you have the throttle cable should come out the top and the shift and wiring harness the bottom--Bob
