core plug mess up

when removing core plug I drilled to far putting a hole in the carb. how will this effect the carb s performance???? the hole is the same size as the one thats there and it overlaps the original hole.

I'm having a hard time visualizing your situation - I'm thinking you'd have to try really hard to actually make a hole in the casting - a picture might help...........

If you actually did drill through the carb in the area of the idle ports, it is good-by carb.

Ayup . . . If that happened you'll never get it to idle properly.

if you just indented it may not hurt, but if you drill thru. start watching ebay for a carb.
thats why i use a small punch, like an ice pick, and just hit it with my hand and pry it out.

hi

I finished rebuilding the carbs put them back on the motor. Turn the key engine revs up high. Kill the power, turn down idle start up again. Wow this thing idles good. In the morning to the water to see what it does. Can hardly wait to see how this motor will run. ( i have a new carb on the way just in case)We will see...
