Copy Cat Sniper Attack

For the last couple of months someone has been taken shots at passing cars on the Southern bypass in Columbus..<br /><br />Last week a women was killed. To date a total of 14 hits have been linked to this nut..Tonite that part of 270 is being closed for two hours while the blues try and do trajectories on where shots are being fired from..<br /><br />The Day before a local man was shooting his gun to sight in before deer season. Next thing he sees is helicopter's and red lights coming at him from everywhere. Paranoia would be best put here.<br /><br />Tonite we have our annual Mgr meeting(eating,drinking,and lie telln)and I have had to plan an alternate route. Hope he decides not to come a little farther south as I head north...Where are these wackos coming from?

I've been paying more attention to the story since Gonfishn told me a week or so ago about it. I travel that route several times a month. Needless to say a different route I will use!<br /><br />It makes me mad because of one wacko. Crap like that is what weakens our freedom to own guns.<br /><br />SS

Well, as a Columbus-ite, I can report that the cops aren't giving out any additional info after closing down I-270 for 2 hours Saturday night to help their investigations.<br />We did receive a directive from our Operations Manager for the Columbus district: Absolutely no crews in the vicinity of US 23 & I-270 without law enforcement escort until further notice. That means we're going to pay for an off-duty officer whenever we need to send a crew there. And we'll have to wait until he shows up, so if you live there and your lights go out, the restoration will be delayed by that long. One way or another, this 'scare' affects us all, because bottom-line, our consumers pay for our expenses.
