Copper head gasket vs. fiber.

Hello again all. Just wanted to know if it is going to hurt me at all with installing a fiber head gasket instead of a copper one. I know that the copper will last longer against the corrosion. But to me it's not that big of a deal to throw another one on if I should have to do it again at a later date. The motor is 2.5 O.M.C. ,,,,(Chevy)

I was not aware the old copper one was still around for anything but the old flat heads.<br /> <br /> here in the salt pond we stay away from copper if possible.<br /> but any quality gasket like fel-pro marine will be suitable.
