Cooling

I don't have any water coming out the pee hole with the muffs on and the motor idling, I only left it running for about 2 minutes, I didn't want it to overheat, is this normal or should water come out right away, it's a 115hp Merc. O/B, any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Whitey

How old is the impeller? Might want to check it first before anything else.

115 hp merc OB's have been around forever in one form or another. Do you have the year, is it 2 or 4 stroke, carbed, EFI, DFI ?

Serial numbers are helpful too.

The serial# is OD144061, I noticed water comes out on the top of the bottom end where the splined tube comes through, when it's running, It's a 4cyl. 2 stroke, the boat is a 1992 Maxum XR
