Hi,i just bought a boat with a 1987 Force 85 hp motor,when i first used it i was idleing around fishihing for about a half hr and the heat sensor went off,i put in neutral and reved it up and the sensor went off. So I put in a new water pump kit {which the old impeller looked ok} when idleing there is water coming out the 2 holes in the back of the motor,but when running wide ope it just surges a little water out. Is this normal or should there be big streams of water coming out these 2 holes that say power flow? I was also wondering if the thermostat could be stuck.I did use the boat after replacing the water pump and the heat sensor never went off,just wanting to make sure the cooling system is 100% so i dont damage my engine.
